With the cussing and the honking and the traffic and the idiot teenagers running everything and the litter that was on the ground. Maybe the WHOLE town was having a bad day. RMNP was awesome though.
I've never experienced any foul mouths there. I usually don't spend too much time in Estes Park though. I can only imagine how irrating the combination of all that could be. I'll be leaving for Estes Park/RMNP tomorrow after work...YEE-HAWW!!!
and what a great time it was!! I only spent a few hours in Estes Park. I squeezed every other minute I could inside RMNP.
I did eat at Casa Grande due to a recommendation. It was okay. I had the chicken chimichanga and though it wasn't any better than the Grumpy Gringo's chicken chimi. Actually, I think Grumpy Gringo's chicken chimi was better.
There is one person in Estes that is incredible and sincere and has a wonderful family. He is a professional Photographer and when I was in Manitou, I met him and we shared a love of the same beauty. I had taken a picture of a church with a stained glass window and it had the autumn ivy growing up it. He took a picture of the exact same window only his work is awsome. I got his book on Colorado the following year. Well, I get an email from his a couple of weeks ago and he sent me a beautiful signed peint already in a great double mat and one of his wonderful cards with his photography. It was such a great treat to hear from him and to get that large print. So now will have to have it framed.
