Notes:

Rick Passfield was not as sharp in net as usual while Ryan Blair was.

The three Peterborough goals within 37 seconds of the first period appeared to rattle Whitby. Whitby had their chances to win the game but either fine goal tending by Ryan Blair or poor ball handling thwarted Whitby’s efforts.

A thing you do not see too often in a lacrosse game or in other sports where goal tenders are used is that both teams played without their goal tenders for the last 40 odd seconds.

Whitby pulled their goal tender to put pressure on the ball and cause a loose ball and allow Whitby a shot on net. Peterborough countered by also playing six runners to prevent the odd man situation. No goals resulted.
