Roik played as a runner. I'm not entirely sure as to the wisdom of this move. The A's faced the problem they have all season - not enough players. I counted 13 plus goalie when the game started. A few late arrivals were added but definitely not a full bench.

The risk of injury to Roik seems to me to outweigh the value of using him as a runner. Vinc played well enough but do you want to risk going into the playoffs with one goalie and your backup at that. I wouldn't think so.
