Response to I'll be getting the ohm meter out on the next trip to the boat !
Tim had me do the ohm meter test on my coil wire which was about 12" long and the resistance was higher than his longest spark plug wire. I was at the auto parts store that week ordering new ones what a difference. Splitfire makes some really good stuff. And with the "new" carbs I have I can't wait for spring!
