CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. Our mission at this independent not-for-profit non-commercial web site is to "have fun and share information" for your individual personal use. Our main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX Files which contain exhaustive photo and technical information on the Chris Craft Commander line (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic 38 Commander designed by Fred Hudson) , (an awesome collection of Chris Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the information in the forum, etc. Be sure to look at the information about the 2009 Lake Erie Chris Craft Commander / Roamer Rendezvous, second year in a row at Huron, Ohio, held in August of 2009 !! If you're a Commander fan, this will be an event you won't want to miss next time around.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !"

Response to Re: Gourmet dining aboard a Chris Craft 41 "LEGENDE"

Meet Oliver Oelgart. Oliver is obviously quite knowedgeable about Chris Crafts, having been a critical part of the team who resurrected the Chris that sat in a warehouse for 23 years, and quite capable at negotiating the waters of the Mediterranean. He and Sonia have posted over six hundred (600) photos of their restoration and vacations aboard "LEGENDE", a diesel powered Chris they found in a German warehouse with only 12 hours on the hour meter! Their full story can be found here http://www.network54.com/Forum/message?forumid=424840&messageid=1126565754

"The man with the plan"

Working together as a team, Oliver and Sonia now have an almost "new" Chris Craft on the Mediterranean, and have logged in many great adventures on this boat. If anyone has not seen the 12 photo albumns on their web site, it's well worth a visit.

Here's what it took to get the boat from Germany to Spain!!!!!!!!!!

Here's what it's like off the Coast of Spain! I don't imagine these are the waters for the casual boater, a lot of skill is required to navigate these areas.

Regards, and happy motoring!

Paul
