Response to 427 Has No Fire at coil ... Help |
| Good news first. The 427 No Fire problem has been solved. Turned out to be a bad coil. Got engine started today, re-timed, and runing sweet. I want to thank all for your help in this problem solving. Again, thanks.
Now for the bad news..... while out on the test run today, something broke, yap.. broke. Had been cruising at 2500 rpm. for about 20 minutes and the engine started clattering. Coming from the front port side of the port engine housing, sounded like it was around the #5 cyl. and the engine was hot. Shut down, came in on Stbd. Check the oil level and was okay, plugs were all firing clean. Sounds like I got some BIG trouble now. Got any good mechanics on this forum?
Just gets funner all the time |
