We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common ! Just start by posting a note introducing yourself to the group, that's all it takes here (we don't ask for or retain any personal information here, because our intention is to just "have fun and share information".
The stringers are in hat section... the base at the hull are app8 in. wide , at the top app. 5in. wide....app. 16in. deep below engines and 22 in. deep below salon floor. They were filled with polyurathane foam for ridigity then drilled and rubber hose intalled and sealed in a number of places for drainage. The wall thickness on the four stringers is app 5/16 in. and heavily glassed to the hull. This is really a bullit proof setup, no Bertram type rot as no wood is used.
The decks, cabin top, engine boxes are balsa core done right and have little crazing overall and no water intrusion as well. The gelcoat is still there with no paint needed yet. BTW..replaced the lifters app. 10 years ago and have yet to pull the heads....however it has got to be coming soon!! I will be keeping an eye on the 185 gal. fuel tank...fiberglass dont ya know...due to the 5% ethonol/gas that is avail. here....just added a fume dect.!!!
