At what point is a pump like this no longer rebuildable?

Response to Sherwood 427 sea water pump (PART II)
I looked at the photos intently this morning. Are the bottom pieces (the cam part?) available in the rebuild kits? Are those pieces consumables like the impellers are? My mechanic told me last year he thought my pumps might be showing some wear, but they're pumping water just fine as far as I know.
