CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. Our mission at this independent not-for-profit non-commercial web site is to "have fun and share information" for your individual personal use. Our main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX Files which contain exhaustive photo and technical information on the Chris Craft Commander line (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic 38 Commander designed by Fred Hudson) , (an awesome collection of Chris Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the information in the forum, etc. Be sure to look at the information about the 2009 Lake Erie Chris Craft Commander / Roamer Rendezvous, second year in a row at Huron, Ohio, held in August of 2009 !! If you're a Commander fan, this will be an event you won't want to miss next time around.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !"

DEPCO Pump Co., a great resource for parts (DATA SCANS)

Response to Sherwood 427 sea water pump (PHOTO documentation)

I was curious about the availability of the cams after I saw Gary's post, and decided to call DEPCO to check on the price and availability. I spoke with George at 1-800-446-1656 and he knew exactly what I was looking for. They have a bunch of them in stock, amazingly enough for a 40-year old part, and the price is $33.12. While the price may seem high, it's a critical part and without it you may be faced with buying a new pump (hundreds of dollars).

Here is some info from the DEPCO web site and their catalog, for the Chris Craft Commander owners ! (thanks DEPCO, and thanks George!)

DEPCO can be reached at http://www.depcopump.com or at the 800 number listed above ) 1-800-446-1656). This is a non-commercial site, and we list business like this one when they have parts and services that are needed to keep the Chris Craft Commanders afloat and running!

Paul
