I would be very reluctant to use some other cam for a so called small block Chevy motor, when the Q series has so many differences to what most people know about this motor. IF you found one on the shelf, and it is the stock CC cam, I'd jump on that one instead of trying to get the guy at the Crane Cams parts counter to figure it out!

I'm surprised you found stock cams for this motor. All things considered, the price is not out of line. If you buy a new Crane cam you're going to pay $400 or so.
