CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. Our mission at this independent not-for-profit non-commercial web site is to "have fun and share information" for your individual personal use. Our main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX Files which contain exhaustive photo and technical information on the Chris Craft Commander line (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic 38 Commander designed by Fred Hudson) , (an awesome collection of Chris Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the information in the forum, etc.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !"

Response to 427s on Roamers

In this world of "only this" and "only that" (sometimes with a list of rules as long as your arm) we're only too happy to invite the Roamer guys to post here on any reasonably associated topic they want. We're here to share info and to have fun, and the more the better.

Naturally, we're nuts about the Commander series here, but most of the Commander owners I"ve run across in the last several years are boating enthusiasts first, and Commander enthusiasts secondly. I think just about "all" of the Commander owners will appreciate a little wood boat action from time to time, and would certainly love to learn more about the Roamer lineup because it's so close in concept, style, power, and even built "under the same roof" some of our Commanders were (like mine!).

I have also viewed the Roamer Club site scores and scores of times, finding much of interest there about the Roamer and all sorts of related things too. http://www.geocities.com/alloyed2sea/

I think Eric has done a great job with that site, and I don't know of any other site that could hold a candle to that one, with regards to anything about the Roamer. Looking over all the metal issues, model lineup, styling issues, it's a wealth of information about a grand lineup of boats, closely associated with the Commander in many ways.

Thanks for your comments, please feel welcome here any time.

Regards, Paul
