Replacing the cam

Response to Water pump cam question
Hello Sam, the cam is a loose piece that is fitted to the pump with a stud. The cam piece fits down over the stud to secure it from moving. A screwdriver is generally able to pry things apart just fine, but be very careful not to scratch the wearing surfact that touches the impeller. Once the old one comes out, the new one goes back in the same way. Should be a piece of cake.
