CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. Our mission at this independent not-for-profit non-commercial web site is to "have fun and share information" for your individual personal use. Our main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX Files which contain exhaustive photo and technical information on the Chris Craft Commander line (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic 38 Commander designed by Fred Hudson) , (an awesome collection of Chris Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the information in the forum, etc. Be sure to look at the information about the 2009 Lake Erie Chris Craft Commander / Roamer Rendezvous, second year in a row at Huron, Ohio, held in August of 2009 !! If you're a Commander fan, this will be an event you won't want to miss next time around.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !"

Response to I agree totally

Hi

I bought a Lancer i Detroit about 3 months ago and brought it to Stockholm, Sweden. My boat is the true inboard version and it looks exactly like the first picture in this thread. I am very happy with the boat so far and my plan is to renovate it during the coming winters.

Here is a picture of my boat during the test drive in central Stockholm:

My boat has a 350Q engine that I think still runs smoth and strong.

When I was looking for Lancers on the internet I almost bought a very nice Commander with the 427 engine. The boat looked like it was in a very good state and it was still owned buy the original owner. However I did loose the bidding on eBay on that one during the last seconds. The boat sold for around $8500 if I remember it right.

Here is a picture of that boat that apparently used to race on lake Erie:

I am enjoying this forum a lot, it's easy to become addicted and I am learning very much by reading the posts.

Regards

Rickard
