Hello Scott,
This should clear up the cylinder numbering system on the 427, which is VASTLY DIFFERENT from the way the small block Chevrolet cylinders are identified. (SBC motors start at one point, and then hop from side to side; the BBF starts on one side and counts down in a line, and then hops to the other side).
NOTE the last sentence on this spec sheet, this is important to avoid the induction firing I noted in my previous post.
