Response to Chokes |
| Have been for years, due to a mistrust that they won't start choking when they want to, instead of when I want them to. To compensate for this, it just takes a priming of the carb, giving the accelerator jet a good work out. Depending upon how long the boat has been sitting, this could take 10 or more pumps of the throttle. I have had little difficulty starting the boat, because I understand what is needed to start it. Someone else would have a tough time of it, not knowing the chokes are disabled, etc. Engines always start fine when hot.
