This 23' Commander is listed as a 42-mph boat by Chris Craft, when furnished with the 300-hp 427. This is equal in speed to what Chris Craft published for the 1969 Commander Super Sport with 230-hp. It's an interesting pair, for sure, because both boats were built along side one another at the Cortland, New York, Chris Craft (Corsair) Division (The old Thompson Boat Company of New York plant).
