This is an independent not-for-profit and non-commercial web site, not affiliated with the Chris Craft Commander Club ~~ or ~~ Chris-Craft Corporation. Our mission here is to "have fun and share information" about the Commander series (and those associated fiberglass boats on the Chris-Craft family tree) for your individual personal use, and by doing so help promote the good name of Chris-Craft, and help preserve, restore, and appreciate Chris-Craft boats. The main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX File which contains what we believe to be the world's largest collection of documentation photos and technical information on the Chris-Craft Commander line of boats, (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic first 38 Commander styled by Fred Hudson, and many of the great Dick Avery renditions that followed) , (a huge collection of Chris-Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the forum.

That boat, if memory serves me is a 37'1966? cc connie (the one with what they call the dog house on the back deck) Ive never seen another, some say they have, but rare. Im in LaSalle Ontario Canada. On the Detroit river. That boat ended up at the marina because the owner is Bob Bains a guy I owe big. He brought it there to repair 6 or 7 yrs ago He actually is the guy who got me off my butt to start working on my boat 14 years ago. He was and is considered the best planker around. I removed and replaced while he cut 37 planks (inc transom). He also made many of the interior trim. As you can see from his boat (I guess i wore him out) he wont work on boats any more. He,we,everyone....arent shure if its worth reparing now.
