The flagstaff on the aft deck is the same as on other CC models from Cortland, NY, and the torpedo cleats and gear selector is identical too. The cleats are probably potmetal, which means they will be very expensive to have replated due to the fact that the pitting will have to be filled. It is probably more economical to find the same size cleat in a brass (ebay) and have those plated to a gleaming standard. I may be wrong, but I suspect those cleats are the same as what I’ve seen used on other boats out of the Corsair Division.
The gear selector is MORSE, and a good one, but the case and the handle are also subject to pitting due to the fact that they are also potmetal.
Interesting brightly finished mahogany spray deflectors on the aft hull side ! Have not seen that used on a fiberglass boat, but it does give a nice expensive wood feel. The clamshell vent I see on the aft deck looks like a generic aftermarket vent I’ve seen for sale, although I do understand CC used those at one point in time. I think they’re stainless.
The aft section of the hull is identical to the 23’ Commander, without the pocket found in the inboard Lancers like Rickard. This means the draft is deeper than what Rickard has, but in open water naturally this makes little difference.
Not real sure what I’m looking at with the exhaust manifolds and risers, they don’t look stock Chris Craft. The wrapping of a portion of that suggests that section has no water inside to keep it cool. The plumbing seems to have been reworked, I see soldered copper pipes, so this is a cause for careful checking to be sure the person who did the modifications didn’t defeat the intent of the manufacturer. It’s probably fine, but I’m just looking at the photos again and commenting.
Looks like a fun project with big rewards at the end !
