| On a test run this evening, we successfully throttled from idle, through cruise range to WOT thanks to carb disassembly #5.
Earlier in the day I had left one carb on the mechanics' workbench for another round of troubleshooting and as best as I can understand it, they found part numbers 30 and 31 (primary and secondary metering jets) were reversed as well as parts 25-28 (venturi clusters) had been swapped (maybe). They re-installed and left a note for me to give it another lake run. I CAN confirm that we're running GREAT now that parts are where they belong. All of this stayed the same in disassemblies #1-4
Paul, your hunch from Nashville was right on target regarding the carb rebuilds not going well. Would you agree that those swapped parts would cause an engine to bog when accelerating from idle to cruise? We changed nothing else and we're running fine now....
