Had a problem on a Rodchester 4 bl...trolling at 1500 rpm, stopping for a hookup, the port engine would flood and die. When I say flood, it would burp a full cup of fuel all over a very hot intake manifold and I watched in horror as it BOILED OFF!
This happened a few times while i tried different repairs to the float setup...turned out to be a very rough bore on the needle valve seat, combined with the angle of the engine the needle would hang full open!
A polish with 600 grit on all parts involved put an end to that problem thank God! |
