The Q motors don't need them

I think your comments are valid, but I would like to point out the fact that the Q motors have a specific marine-only intake and it has a built-in tilt to compensate for the tilted installation. A tilt wedge on a Q motor is probably not needed, because CC apparently did their own when they manufactured that special intake manifold.
