CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris-Craft Commander series. This is an independent not-for-profit and non-commercial web site, not affiliated with the Chris Craft Commander Club ~~ or ~~ Chris-Craft Corporation. Our mission here is to "have fun and share information" about the Commander series (and those associated fiberglass boats on the Chris-Craft family tree) for your individual personal use, and by doing so help promote the good name of Chris-Craft, and help preserve, restore, and appreciate Chris-Craft boats. The main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX File which contains what we believe to be the world's largest collection of documentation photos and technical information on the Chris-Craft Commander line of boats, (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic first 38 Commander styled by Fred Hudson, and many of the great Dick Avery renditions that followed) , (a huge collection of Chris-Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the forum.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common !

As I mentioned to Mike, it's the story of my life, to have my back to the camera on a fantastic photo like this, ha ha. Ah well, I have photos taken aboard during this ride, and it was as fun as it looks here! It's also a consolation to know Mark Weller also had his back to the camera.

Thanks again, Mike, for the outstanding highlight of our trip to Algonac. That was one awesome demonstration of 427 power! The big dogs sure sounded happy, and never broke into a sweat.

Paul

...............Also, hopefully by now you've seen the pictures taken of our ride on the river from the helicopter that flew over us - one is the August pin up in the CCCC Calendar. Unfortunately, you and your wife have your backs to the camera, but they're still pretty cool pictures nonetheless. - Actually, you may not have seen the 2nd, b/c I'm not sure it's been posted anywhere - I'll attach it to this e-mail.

I hope all is well.

Take care and thanks again.

Mike

This was what Mike was doing while the helicopter was hovering around us. Mike, if you get any big movie contract offers as a result of this world-wide exposure, please remember your (poor) friends at http://www.chriscraftcommander.com and save us a piece of cheese, lol! Paul

NOTE: In the photo above of Mike at the helm, note he's in the identical same driving position as he is in the photo taken by the helicopter. The two photos on this page were actually taken just a few moments apart.

Here are links to more photos of Mike's awesome Commander.
