427 torque numbers

The 427 Ford specs are really special. I looked up the new fuel injected Crusader spec to compare, just to see what it was. They don't even list torque. By not listing it, I guess they have something to hide?

In any case, I did find some 454 torque specs from Marine Power, and here they are




of the 320, 365, and 410-hp alternatives here, none of the motors listed match the 300-hp 427 with it's 438 footpounds at 2900 rpm. I think it is becoming more apparant how special the 427 marine engine really is. That torque number is way off the charts for just about anything else you can compare to.
