I agree that working with mahogany can become a hobby and it's a nice way to relax. The marina surprised me with inside storage for Challenger this winter, so i've taken advantage of the opportunity and refinished rail sections and boarding ladder steps. and probably more over the next few months, including the toe rail. it's how some of us spend winters up here in upstate New York.
Interlux #573 Chris Craft Mahogany Interstain filler, then seven coats of Epifanes Woodfinish Gloss, topped off with two coats of Epifanes Varnish for UV protection and parts are looking good. The biggest challenge was removing a thick layer of Cetol from the teak ladder steps, but the new look is worth it.
