I have a 1964 Corsair XL 175 Sun Lounger with a small block Ford 267. When starting to work on it this year, I discovered water in the oil. I don't have much experience with diagnosing these things so I'm asking for some assistance. If I understand correctly it may be the head gaskets, the heads or the block. (Am I missing anything?) If this is accurate, what am I looking for when examining the gaskets? If they appear to have held tight, I am guessing that I need to have a machine shop check over the heads for cracks. If they appear to be sound, does that condemn the block? Any advise on this matter is appreciated.
