We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common ! Just start by posting a note introducing yourself to the group, that's all it takes here (we don't ask for or retain any personal information here, because our intention is to just "have fun and share information".
Growing up we had a 22 ft '74 Sea Ray. We had a family of 5 and we would spend two weeks crusing the Great Lakes in the boat; sleeping on board. We had one in the Vee Berth (hot, even in MI), two on the convertable seats, and the parents on the back "bed". The previous owner built a "box" across the back with storage on each side of the engine and cushions on top. The front would then swing up and legs would come down to make it a "queen" size bed.
We had a camper stove and water jug instead of a galley. Worked well. We had a camper top with stand up head room. Kind of like a pop up camper.
I would think of putting a sink and ice box with storage in a Lancer. Perhaps one more attractive then the Overnighter, less boxy.
