One of the cooler things that has happened here on THE FORUM over the 3-1/2 years we've been on the net as an independent and free resource, not selling information, and not requesting any personal information, is the fact that several of our participants have actually gotten together to first of all, save a 31' Sports Express in Florida, ship it to the Washington DC area along with 4 big block motors, and then another participant is picking up two of those motors and heading back to the Port Clinton, Ohio area where the motors will power a 38 Commander on Lake Erie. Pretty strong networking going on here!
At this time I'm not sure Chris or Jerry have actually figured out which motors go or stay, as there is a pair of 454 and a pair of 427 motors as a part of the overall package, along with the boat that just arrived (compliments of Bill Frondorf, in Florida).
Hope we get an update from the guys on the road, or certainly after they get back. Road Trip Time !!
Regardless of the outcome, Ford or Chevrolet, putting a pair of big dogs into FEELGOOD will transform the big 38 quite a bit. Actually it will be an amazing change for Chris, because the last couple times he ran the boat he was on one small block motor (the other one having blown a hole through the block when it decided to give it up)!
Looking forward for an update!
