CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. Our mission at this independent not-for-profit non-commercial web site is to "have fun and share information" for your individual personal use. Our main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX Files which contain exhaustive photo and technical information on the Chris Craft Commander line (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic 38 Commander designed by Fred Hudson) , (an awesome collection of Chris Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the information in the forum, etc. Be sure to look at the information about the 2009 Lake Erie Chris Craft Commander / Roamer Rendezvous, second year in a row at Huron, Ohio, held in August of 2009 !! If you're a Commander fan, this will be an event you won't want to miss next time around.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !"

Response to New Inigition

So glad to hear, take it easy for awhile, you'll be able to hit it hard later. These projects are great fun when you can enjoy the work and don't feel as though you have to be working toward a deadline ( or budget, ha! ) Just map out what you can do, are able to do, and work away at an enjoyable pace, soon enough you'll be done.

I caution you and everyone else, not to do what I did with the project haul-out and bottom painting, doing it in the hottest month here in the south. That was nuts, and it was also dangerous. Nobody, but nobody, should be prepping a bottom and painting it in the humid summer months here in Tennessee or anywhere in the south for that matter. The guys on Lake erie are all doing it now, and the temps are in the high thirties at night and in the fifties during the day.

In addition, now being older and wiser, you have earned the prestige and right to "point" at what you want done, on many occasions as you deem appropriate. Keep us posted, all the best,

Paul
