I just replaced a starter on my Opposite (RH, Starboard) Rotation motor. I was able to order it online cheaper than getting it overhauled. I ordered it from EBasicpower.com, mine was a 50138 but it may be different for your year. They shipped same day as ordered and I had it 2 days later. Mine also mounted where it would be on a car. My old 78 CC had a K motor but starter mounted on top of transmission which makes the starter opposite rotation. See chart linked to determine starter rotation.
Your post PS Dated 3 May referenced a K motor manual, this is flywheel (and Distributor) aft. If your flywheel (distributor) are forward you have a Q motor. If your engines are flywheel forward (Q Motors) this is altogether different.
Ebasicpower also carries lots of other CC Motor parts including manifolds and pumps.
