I finally got around to hauling out my 360SF this weekend. Work to be done was Replacing 3 thru-hulls and seacocks (original parts, they lasted 30 years!!) and adding a thru-hull with high speed pick-up for my 55 gallon live well. I also primed and painted the running gear as, amazingly, it was bare when I bought the boat this summer. And man, here on the West coast of Florida, we know how to grow barnacles! She is due for a complete bottom job spring of '10, so this should last till then. I must say, as I worked alongside my friend who is a boat builder by trade and did the thru hulls as I grinded the growth off of the running gear, it seemed every half hour or so I was interrupted by someone commenting on the Commander. They had no idea that it was a Chris Craft as there is no CC badging on the vessel. All guessed it was a Hat or Viking. And of course they wanted to see the inside. What boats we own!! All left my boat dreaming of owning a vessel such as this. And sitting adjacent to my boat was a beautiful 45 Hatteras sport fish. Our boats are rigged almost identically. Same Lee MX Pro outriggers, Live well, fly bridge, etc. These two boats were definitely the head turners for the weekend on the yard! I'm posting these pics, well, just cause I think these boats look so cool OUT of the water too! As a side note, as the holes were drilled thru the hull, no one could believe how thick the hull was. If I had a buck for every time I heard "man, they sure don't build 'em like this anymore" I'd be a millionaire!! I also got offered a large sum of money to part with my beloved vessel. Well, you know the answer...

That Hat/Viking look. But we know the difference!!
Had the hull detailed, with the top side to be done once we figure where this tropical storm is headed this week...
What a wave sees...
