Mark Weller tipped me off on this one, I actually called the guy.
Here's the scoop.
Motor, transmission, shaft and prop are gone, they were sold.
Rudder might be there, don't know.
Shaft log is there, he thinks.
Now for the bad news...........someone took a sawsall and cut the entire foredeck off, planning on making a center console boat out of this. Of course, there is no windshield.
So this is a hybrid project for someone, hope they have fun with it. It could be fun of course, could actually be made into a boat that could provide a lot of service, but no way would I touch that with a ten foot boat hook.
I did find one with a Chrysler 360 in it, looking pretty darn good, said it needed some work, for $800 but have never been able to contact the guy and I figure the boat is long gone. Thats the sort of deal I'm looking for, something generally intact, but with a bad motor
And cheap enough that I can do this on my own, without calling Mark Weller in to soften up the guy.
