We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common !
I'm still looking into this boat. I would like to tap you experience expertise. First, everything appeared as it should. Nice Restoration. Engines had been rebuilt with appropriate documentation, etc. During the sea trial there were two things that concerned me regarding the boat. First, the port engine ran at 190 degrees, the startboard at 160. I know 160 is correct. I travelled a long distance to do the check out and only had an afternoon to spend, so I wasn't able to do any work on the engine, such as changing out the thermostat. The engine didn't get hotter than 190, it was consistent at the level. Would that temp difference give you great concern?
Second, the boat was propped with more agressive props. The boat ran smoothly but at WOT it only ran up to 3000rpm. It makes sense to me due to the props, but I would like your perspective on that.
I really appreciate you taking the time to give me your insight.
