We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common ! Just start by posting a note introducing yourself to the group, that's all it takes here (we don't ask for or retain any personal information here, because our intention is to just "have fun and share information".
They rebuilt the unit. That included a complete new advance plate and weights, cap & rotor, o ring. They removed the pertronix cleaned the body, and re-installed the pertonix with the new cap hold down clip bolts. I hope checked the bearing. They were supposed to install the proper springs and spin it on a distributor machine to check the advance. I think they skipped that part. Their best technician left the company at some point between my two overhauls. I still have the 2 pink springs in the engine and still need to play with them to find the best combination. Hopefully between looking at colleges for my senior, fall lacrosse, jv field hockey etc I can get this done. It's important to know which advance kits you have before ordering the spring kits. The YL has the thicker weights and the yh has the thinner ones.
