Response to 427 engine controls |
| Paul, Randy and All:
Thanks for all the good info. My 31 is sitting there on the hard waiting for me and the new engines. I will look up the site you mentioned because now is the best time to make the additions that will be needed. Did you bump up all the equipment that Paul referred to?
I was thinking more along the lines of efficiency rather than performance with regard to the computer chips. As you can read, Paul can only afford a quarter tank's worth of gass at a time for his Lancer! LOL. I know there is some rot in the stringers near the rudders and will be working under the decks for quite a while so I am not scared of the work.
I think if you do a good job of your work like many of our Forum brothers document with theirs, you should be able to get your money back SOME day. At least that is what I keep telling Nadia. I am thinking of starting a CCC boat rental business when I get back and putting some of the commercial crabbers and retired Naval sailors on shares as tour and charter Captains for thirds. This could be a pretty good business on the Cheasepeake Bay because of location of the population. Your equipment sounds like it would pay for itself in this scenario. And, the local boys are making $90 an hour just to change your oil. Clearly, I have some mechanical and electrical curves ahead of me.
As for racing Paul, of course I am going to cheat, Kevin! Right now I am looking on EBay for some 454 stickers to put on my heliocopter engine box to disguise it a little. Ha, I will simply lock the engine box down so Paul can't look inside! My 17 bladed prop will probably be a give-a-way, but I will cover it with a canvas tarp that will float off once the boat is in the water. Yes, I have it all figured out,aHahahahahahahahah! Also working the fuel tank issue right now and trying to come up with a way to disguise the smell of burnt highgrade kerosene!
