Went for a drive on Saturday to Maryland. I pick up the new engines. Cold and wet day. It took 4 hours in my truck with trailer and 5 hrs to get home. The truck pulled the weight well over the long distance I just took it easy. At the boat on Sunday I started stripping the old insulation in the engine room. I started removing wires and pipes attached all over the place so I can paint the engine room ,I only have raw glass.
I almost really screwed up! I guess I wasn't thinking, the engines just came out of a boat that was in the water. We went from 40+ to 25 deg. The water was freezing in the pipes. I think I am ok though the water was not frozen hard, kind of slushy. I drained everything and then ran hot water through it. I drained it again and put some antifreeze in all of the areas that would pocket water. Man close call.
