We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common !
The previous owner was an Ohio farmer who almost hauled it to the dump. His parents bought some land last Fall with a few boats on the property. This one was spared for some reason.
As for the damage, I have no clue. I do know that it appears to have been "broken" off, which rules out a parts stripper. I suppose they could have broken the drive angle housing just to get the V? Seems strange they would have left the stern pole behind. The steel shims that held the V-Drive to the brackets are still in the boat as well as the bolts.
Could very well have been a serious hit... The prop is missing...but the shaft is straight as an arrow.
Hmmm? A mystery. There must have been something mechanically wrong for someone to have parked it in the woods.
The boat was originally shipped to Barnegaut Bay, NJ.
