We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common !
I regret to inform the brethren on the Forum that Omnova, manufacturer of Nautolex, has discontinued the popular vinyl planking-style deck covering used in so many Chris Craft boats for more than 40 years. The white version is part #323-076.
I spoke to a sales person at the manufacturer asking for confirmation of the discontinuance, which he provided. Asked why, he said he didn't know, but conceded that it was a good seller -- very popular. He speculated that due to "production challenges" (I read "costly production") it was discontinued.
Thankfully, the guy have me two dealers that they most recently shipped to, which was December. I was able to get 10 yards for my Corsair project -- barely -- since they had only short remnants left, but I was able to patch together enough for my floor boards. That company was Graham Fabrics in Mississippi, also know as FSC Inc dba "Your Auto Trim.com" I doubt they have any left, as they scraped the bottom of the barrel for mine.
Another company suggested by the manufacturer was Reliatex in Miami. I did not call them, as I found what I needed at the first company.
Defender Marine, who always had the best prices on this stuff, sold their last scrap a few weeks ago.
If you need this stuff, suggest you start chasing around for obscure dealers to see if they have any left.
This is a real bummer.
