We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common ! Just start by posting a note introducing yourself to the group, that's all it takes here (we don't ask for or retain any personal information here, because our intention is to just "have fun and share information".
Dave these may be available somewhere but I've never seen anyone commenting on them or selling parts for them. If yours are trashed then they really serve no purpose on the boat because they just create more joints and fittings for fuel to leak from. I am a strong fan of the Racor type fuel and water seperators, in a 10 micron range. In addition, I like a hardwired filter right at the carb as a last resort. If your Bendix units are trashed, unless you are going for originality and I doubt that will buy you anything in a Commander, maybe something in a woodie, I would toss these old style filters and use a Racor + bolt-on filter at the carb. I would avoid splicing in a filter in the pressurized line fuel hose, however.
Maybe someone knows if and where the internals to the old Bendix can be acquired?
