We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common ! Just start by posting a note introducing yourself to the group, that's all it takes here (we don't ask for or retain any personal information here, because our intention is to just "have fun and share information".
Thanks, Paul, for your usual pertinent info. It simply enhances the great experience of owning and messing with these wonderful old boats.
I have a good source for marine-grade plywood (fir)and for white oak, custom-sized to my needs for substructure. Once the floor's out, I'll clean and paint the bilge. Then paint the original rear seat substructure, which is rot-free, then new floor framing and sheathing, covered in new Nautolex, then back together.
Can't wait to see the final product.
Oh, yeah, my instruments are back from Dale Kocian, and, as you predicted, they're like new!
