We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common !
Thanks for posting. Too bad that "good gas" is not conveniently available here on Lake Champlain.
Tomorrows' project is pumping out 25 gals. of bad stuff from the tank of the Lancer. She was winterized with a good dose of Startron but the amount of water visible in what I took out of the Racor filter was just incredible.
The mechanic whose advice is well taken by locals here told me today that most of his repair business is related to the ill effects of ethanol.
He was good enough to lend me his pump and suggested that if possible, remove the entire tank after being emptied, dry and clean throughly, which I'm going to do.
I'll post the results.
