We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common !
You know the feeling, you could have and should have found it, bought it, and installed it long ago, but now you are out threre spending gas money driving around from one auto parts store to another LOOKING for a part nobody has.
All I wanted today was a brass 90-degree female/female 3/8" NPT fitting, and I sorta found one at O'Reilly but it looked WAY TOO HOME DEPOT for a marine engine. Then I went to NAPA, found one that looked a bit better but the guy said it was $14 and I said "yikes, I think I'll leave it with you"..........He said..."it's brass brother".
So I finally found the darn fitting (and a nice one with rounded surfaces appropriate for a motor and not some DIY plumbing job) at American Ace Hardware believe it or not.
The price was five or six bucks, but I'd hate to think about the amount of time and gas it cost to get it. The good news is I HAVE IT NOW......better late than never.
