We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common ! Just start by posting a note introducing yourself to the group, that's all it takes here (we don't ask for or retain any personal information here, because our intention is to just "have fun and share information".
Have you been up inside the bridge, I don't know how they did it on your model, but on my 1968 42SC there a couple of buss bars one on the Port and one on the Starboard way up under the inside the bridge structure where the wiring from the bottom and the top can be disconnected which allows for the bridge to be removed for highway transit. It ties into another buss inside the lower helm. It sounds like those connection points aren't hooked up. By the way I got a great 24" x 36" wiring diagram plan for diesel 42SCs from the mariners museum. If you need I'll take some photos, probably be at the boat tomorrow
