Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common ! Hunter Wright and his 1967 42 Commander !

Hunter Wright, Bay City, Michigan, and his 1967 42-foot Commander, all decked out for the Christmas Holiday and looking good. Hunter moved up from a 31 Commander two years ago, trucked the new 42 to the destination with the cabin top removed, and had everything back in operation for a successful first year on the water for the 2015 season. We’re going to use Hunter’s Christmas photo here for the Christmas season, and hope everyone around the world who may be viewing our files here on ChrisCraftCommander.com has a safe holiday season and a productive, fun, and safe 2018. For more on the 42 Commander Hunter acquired, here is a series of photos of that boat that help document the model, with 13-foot beam, and essentially an elongated 38 Commander hull.

These photos show the hauling at the point where the boat was acquired, loading on the truck, transport, unloading, and re-installation of the windshield and cabin top. It's "how" its done !! Thanks for the great documentation photos Hunter !

Hunter also owns a 17-foot Sportsman very similar to one I have here in Nashville. Just one more proof that wood boat guys eventually go into fiberglass when it comes to a cruiser.
