PHOTO OF THE DAY EDITORIAL:
The 27 is a cool boat no matter which way you look at them, available in single or twin engine configurations, and available in the Commander and Sports Express format. They are small enough to be handled easily, and large enough to have the interior amenities for family fun out on the water. This twin engine version belongs to Steven Fernandes, who has admirably gone through issue after issue in order to get the boat in operation this season. Many of us have taken similar routes but Steven has done a lot of work in a relatively short timeframe, and he gets a tip of the hat from me (and Photo of the Day)!! There are numerous threads here on The Forum about the restoration of this boat, including electric fuel pumps, fittings, tuning, cooling, and a variety of those typical issues that arise during the first year of running. The following thread is just a peek into some of the issues one might encounter with a restoration of an old boat like this.
A small peek into the major restoration of a twin engine 27 Commander!!
