Our mission here is to "have fun and share information" about the Commander series (and those associated fiberglass boats on the Chris-Craft family tree) for your individual personal use, and by doing so help promote the good name of Chris-Craft, and help preserve, restore, and appreciate Chris-Craft boats. The main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX File which contains what we believe to be the world's largest collection of documentation photos and technical information on the Chris-Craft Commander line of boats, (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic first 38 Commander styled by Fred Hudson, and many of the great Dick Avery renditions that followed) , (a huge collection of Chris-Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the forum.

As The Forum ages gracefully, spreading the word about the Chris-Craft Commander (and her close cousins in the Lancer and Corsair line) around the globe, we start to know the various boats around the word as our friends. Every now and then we will see one of our friends and recognize it from an image we may have seen here. This happens coast to coast, North, South, East, and West. I have been to the most remote places on Lake Michigan, up near Hessel, and spotted a Commander that was familiar due to having seen it here on The Forum.

So now here we see one that is quite familiar but something is different. Hey wait a minute, this looks like Bill Millars boat in CT, but that sure looks like San Francisco Bay! Well it is San Francisco Bay, and it is Bills (former) 30 Commander, and it is a nice one. Major congratulations to Ryan, who had it trucked across the entire North American continent, across the continental divide at the Rocky Mountain range, and downhill to the Pacific Ocean wonderland called SF Bay! This diesel powered beauty is going to turn some heads and make a lot of people smile. It has ALL the latest electronics and some very fine power. Congratulations to Ryan, for pulling off quite the feat and FOR HIS GOOD TASTE IN CHRIS-CRAFT BOATS !
Ryan is now running a beautiful Hunt-designed 30 Commander on SF Bay!!!
