PHOTO OF THE DAY EDITORIAL:
We have many fabulous restorations archived here on The Forum, but one of the most gratifying projects is the one Kent just completed. The boat was known as the Montana Commander for a couple of years. Everyone knew it was there but nobody was able to get there to retrieve the boat. John, the previous owner, started in with the project, sent us many photos that can be found if you do a search here on The Forum for Montana Commander, but he ran out of steam and had to sell the boat. It was for sale for quite some time and finally Kent stepped up and got it, and brought it back to Michigan where it has undergone a TOTAL restoration, including a sourced period correct 427 motor and v-drive. When we look at the photos from Montana, seeing the poor boat sitting out, it sure is a huge difference to see the current photos of the boat, just splashed, looking like new. Great job, Kent, not many people could have pulled this off and you have done it very well, indeed. For more on this boat, along with links to more and more info, check out the following link.
