We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common !
Yes indeed, I am back from Denver and I can offer advice on this one !
My advice is "seek professional help".
I say this as a pretty savvy week-end warrior, but one that is in awe when watching a professional who can make a wretched task look easy.
Our headliner was blown out when the boat was transported on a truck to Nashville from Cincinnatti.
I reinforced the roof prior to calling in the upolstery guy.
He found the easily obtained pin-hole vinyl fabric, sewed two large sheets together so the seam was right down the center nicely, used some specialty fittings around the perimeter that only an upolstery guy would know about, and the darn job looks BETTER THAN NEW. It looks so good, I just thank myself I didn't spend a month of week-ends struggling with a sheet of vinyl wrapped around my head trying to do the same job.
