CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. Our mission at this independent not-for-profit non-commercial web site is to "have fun and share information" for your individual personal use. Our main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX Files which contain exhaustive photo and technical information on the Chris Craft Commander line (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic 38 Commander designed by Fred Hudson) , (an awesome collection of Chris Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the information in the forum, etc. Be sure to look at the information about the 2009 Lake Erie Chris Craft Commander / Roamer Rendezvous, second year in a row at Huron, Ohio, held in August of 2009 !! If you're a Commander fan, this will be an event you won't want to miss next time around.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !"

It was a fabulous week-end in Nashville. Sadly, I got hooked into doing "other things" all week-end long, and basically watched one of the nicest week-ends of the season slip by. However, I did find the fuel pump on a 1983 928 (don't laugh, it is very well hidden), and I worked on the Bronco tow vehicle, etc., so not all was lost. Now I am really keyed on the next nice week-end, and it will be NICE even if it is raining.

In the meantime, while I was slaving away, the Hunter boys were out on Old Hickory having a big time. They even buzzed our place, we sure wish we were there to say hello. Thanks, Mark, for the photos, looks like you all had a fabulous time.. Your Dad looks good up there on the Command Bridge, what a fabulous way to get the family together!

I can see where the water level is already down a bit from that shoreline photo. Wouldn't affect anything out in the channel, but there are a few places around where it would make a big difference, like getting into Gallatin Marina! I always have a tough time finding the darn channel, and have been in 5-feet of water so quickly it is unnerving, as the under water terrain is obviously a very deep creek channel coming out of Gallatin, but for some reason I always have to "hunt" for it.

Great day, thanks for the pics.

      Regards,

      Best,

      Paul
