A lot of us have heard the advice "change your impellers every other year" I should have known better but I figured I'd push it a little and went 3 years on the last set of Sherwood 10615 impellers. This is how close I came to loosing a vane and having to go looking for it inside the engine.
The guys at Rentner Marine have a theory that sitting in the newer less toxic anti-freeze is tough on them. Could be possible - I don't know. I do know I won't press my luck again in 2 years. Just a reminder for you guys out there attempting to push the envelope.
