CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris-Craft Commander series. This is an independent not-for-profit and non-commercial web site, not affiliated with the Chris Craft Commander Club ~~ or ~~ Chris-Craft Corporation. Our mission here is to "have fun and share information" about the Commander series (and those associated fiberglass boats on the Chris-Craft family tree) for your individual personal use, and by doing so help promote the good name of Chris-Craft, and help preserve, restore, and appreciate Chris-Craft boats. The main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX File which contains what we believe to be the world's largest collection of documentation photos and technical information on the Chris-Craft Commander line of boats, (like these original brochure scans, featuring the iconic first 38 Commander styled by Fred Hudson, and many of the great Dick Avery renditions that followed) , (a huge collection of Chris-Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the forum.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !" Come on in, make yourself at home, we are a friendly group of enthusiasts, and we also appreciate the classic Chris Craft Roamer, Corsair, and Lancer boats too , as they are all on the same family tree and share much in common !

The boat is well known to The Forum. Don Hancock did the engine transplant and most of the upgrades.
Bob continued with the good work until such time he got a new position in Florida and is moving from
Michigan to FL, and was not able to take the boat with him.

Anyone interested should contact Bob at the following email

Bob Koss([email protected])

Anyone wanting to see the complete restoration, check out this link and check-out the additional links within.

DuckTales - SOLD

July 26 2012, 1:26 PM

Paul,

Thank you for posting the For Sale information and the links to DuckTales history. I sold DuckTales yesterday. The new owner will move her to the Detroit Yacht Club August 1st. The information in the forum archives was a GREAT help in the sales process. I encouraged the new owner to join and participate in the forum, so that we can follow the rest of the restoration of DuckTales.

Thanks again Paul for all your help and support.

Regards,
Bob Koss

Edit comment: Congratulations Bob !!

Paul

A perfect example of how documentation on THE FORUM will help sell a boat !

July 27 2012, 10:48 AM

Bob, Not bad at all.....one month on the market and SOLD !

This is due to many things including the manner in which you maintained and prepared the boat for sale, but I am sure
the documentation Don Hancock put on THE FORUM, along with all the documentation you also put here gives ANY prospective
buyer a look into the boat like nothing else could possibly do.

I dare say, the new owner knows what he has now just by looking through the archives here, and we certainly do welcome him
aboard at any time in order to enjoy the fun and information we share here world-wide with up to 119 countries tuned in each month.
Our readership has been on the steady incline since 2005 and it is like waves lapping at a shoreline when it comes to breaking
readership records around here, because even though each month is close, sooner or later every couple of months we'll break the old
record again. This month is such an event, it will be close to another all-time readership record.

We maintain our not-for-profit and non-commercial posture here, not accepting funds or outside influence from any source.
We enjoy helping our participants here with free information and reading enjoyment, and each one of you who has contributed
in some way, can have some satisfaction knowing your comments or message has literally been beamed around the world. In this
way each of us can help someone somewhere with technical information, or just contribute to their reading enjoyment.

Congratulations again to Bob Koss and the sale of DUCKTALES, I hope the new owner will have a good history with the boat, it was
exceptionally well done. Because the boat is already known around the world by the name "DUCKTALES" I also hope the new owner keeps
the name intact so when people see the boat they'll recognize what it is and where it has been.

Regards,

Paul
